Summer Entertaining

  Hallelujah! Summer is here! The kids are out of school! We can sleep late, play, and stay outside!
  and we love to be outside! I had a little birthday get together for some girlfriends and we made a little living room outside on the deck. I don't keep this furniture outside all the time, but it is very easy to move it out here when we want to have friends over to hang out. Summer outdoor spaces
are fun to make. How do you like to relax outside?

Pink Velvet Part 2

  Hello!!! Hope you are doing well out there! I finally have the last photos of the room re-design for 2 little sisters ready for their big girl room. Hung the curtains today! Curtains really do make the room. Sometimes you may not think much about them when they are not there, but when You do get them in...It's like everything falls into place. We took ready made Ikea panels and embellished them with our own fabric! My sister, Michelle actually was the sewer and did a wonderful job! I love how these look in this room. We also added some more curvy frames and a ruffled, boho bedskirt....I also would like to thank my client Jennifer, for her confidence in my design vision and for being such an awesome client in every way!!! This was such a fun room to do! Enjoy!!

Pink Velvet!

OK, Room reno for girls, almost done. We are in the home stretch! Waiting on curtain panels, a couple lamps, a mirror and bed skirt. It is all a process and takes time to come together well! Here is what we have so far! Enjoy!

this is an old ikea dresser that didn't work out as a
dresser,(the drawers were always coming apart)... so I re purposed it into a book case
needed storage for 2 girls!

added paint and fabric to the inside
and made shelves

totally useful now! Bad dresser, great book case!

we wanted a bold color, we chose an orange from the
bedding

Hello Lovelies! I have some fun make-over stuff to share! I am in the middle of a re-design for 2 sisters. I love doing a little girl room. Their room was beautiful before, but we are making it a little more "big girl" for them. I will have before and after pics soon. For now, I have a nightstand that I have recycled for them. My friend found this on the curb and called me,  and of course I will get something off the curb! It was in rough shape, but I like that challenge! Here she is in her new, turquoise glory! we used pine for the top , i did a dark walnut stain..
cute carving on this piece!

color is lagoon...made me think of Blue Lagoon with
Brooke Shields....

Kept old hardware, cause it was good!

Recycling is good! this would have been at least 150. in a store..
I recycled one of her old frames, painted it bright yellow and made
some funky art for the girls...Cheapy options people! You can do it!
